About Luana

Born and raised on the north shore of Oahu, Luana spends most of her days in the water. As a rising star in professional surf community, Luana won the WSL challenger series in Portugal in 2021 and qualified for the 2022 WSL championship at just 17 years old. This year, she has gained more recognition for her WSL event performances and advancing her ranking on the tour. Known for her exceptional talent and fierce competitive drive, she states, “surfing has always been a natural way to express myself, and it gives me a feeling like no other.” Beyond surfing, Luana is an advocate for sustainability and youth empowerment in the surf community.
